NOTICE OF RECONVENED CARTWAY HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on July 8, 2026 at 2:30 p.m., the Town Board of Lake Emma Township will reconvene the public hearing called on the cartway petition submitted by Blake Johnson requesting the establishment of a cartway pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, section 164.08, subdivision 2, to provide access to his property (PID# 16.13.00200) that contains approximately 5.58 acres. The Town Board originally called the hearing to order on May 27, 2026 at 2:00 p.m., but then immediately acted to continue the hearing to allow the petitioner additional time to complete service of the hearing notice on the affected owners. The hearing will be reconvened on the date and time indicated above at the site of the proposed cartway on High Pine Drive near its intersection with County Road 7 to conduct an on-site inspection. The hearing will then be continued to the Lake Emma Town Hall, 18264 Half Moon Rd, Park Rapids, MN 56470 to receive additional public comment, consider the proposed cartway, and to possibly act preliminarily on the petition. All interested persons may appear and be heard at the public hearing or may file written comments with the Town Clerk.

TOWNSHIP ELECTION NOTICE
Notice is hereby given by Lake Emma Township that a November 03, 2026, Election will be held for the offices of:
(1) Township Supervisor A
(2) Township Treasurer
Candidates for offices can file with the Township Clerk from July 14, 2026, through July 28, 2026 at 5 PM. A $2.00 filing fee is required. Or please call the Township Clerk at 218-732-0516 to make arrangements to file for office.
Candidates may file in person Voting hours for the filing with the Township Clerk at the Lake Emma Town Hall, 18264 Half Moon Road (County Road 4 at the intersection of Half Moon Road) on July 28, 2026, are from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
